What does a "SaaS Sales Development Representative (SDR)" do?

Every company hoping to sell their product needs an exceptional sales team. The SDR role is critical for establishing a connection between a company’s product and prospective customers.

SDRs are often the first point of contact for potential customers, and they can generate interest, curiosity or excitement about their company’s  product. They guide the customer to the next step in the sales process, and work to understand the preferences of each customer, ensuring they feel welcomed. They also can be critical in the process of upselling existing customers into additional products and levels of service.
