Rising Talent programs offer students training who might need extra support and one-on-one guidance. Programs are led by Generation instructors, mentors, and program coordinators. Smaller cohort sizes ensure each student gets the individualized help they need in the classroom and the mentorship and support necessary to succeed.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

1. APPLY

Apply for the program by clicking on a location. See all of our programs here.

2. INTERVIEW

A staff member will contact you after reviewing your application to learn more about your career goals and interests.

3. ORIENTATION

During orientation, staff members will discuss how the program works and you’ll receive a program handbook and schedule. If there are any assessments that need to be taken for the program, you will do so at this stage. We will also conduct a background check.

4. CLASS BEGINS

Every day, you’ll learn new skills to help you advance your career.

In a world of employment programs, Generation Rising Talent programs takes a different approach to help you succeed. Generation instructors and mentors get to know each student and are there with resources, tools, and information if a student encounters a barrier.

Instruction & Mentorship

The instructors and mentors at Generation aren’t just teachers, they’re coaches who stand by their students through successes and challenges.

Resume Building

The right resume can open the door to new career opportunities. Generation students learn how to create a resume that showcases their skills and experiences.

Interview Rehearsal

By conducting mock interviews, then providing real-time feedback and coaching, the Generation team ensures that all graduates feel confident and prepared to interview.

Ongoing Support

After graduation, mentors and instructors continue to check in with alumni, providing support with the job search and advice for continued success.

Generation Jacksonville

Generation began partnering with Jacksonville employers and community organizations in 2016. Today, the Jacksonville Generation team leads three employment programs: an Administrative Medical Assistant program, a Customer Service Supervisor program for current customer service workers, and an IT Support Specialist program that helps students launch a career in IT.
