As part of the Verizon Skill Forward Initiative, Generation USA offers you the opportunity to learn all you need to be successful in a long-term career – from the technical knowledge to the soft skills that will help you achieve your potential.

After completing the program and taking the exam, you will earn your industry-recognized CompTIA A+ certification. After the program, graduates have the opportunity to explore different learning outcomes like apprenticeships, internships, continuing education, or full-time employment.

Admissions Process

    This step helps us determine your eligibility to participate in a program and assign you a dedicated Enrollment Coach!

    We will ask questions to better understand you, your interests and how we can support you.

  3. 3


    You’ll be redirected to a third-party platform, HireVue, to complete a video interview. This stage helps us get a better sense of who you are, why you are interested in Generation and what you think it will take to be successful.

    Your dedicated Enrollment Coach will review your application materials within 3 business days to help make an admissions decision and set up additional time to dig deeper, if necessary.

  5. 5


    Once admitted to Generation USA, you will be able to save your seat in one of our upcoming programs.

  6. 6


    To keep your spot within your chosen cohort, you must complete this final step to be enrolled. This helps us direct you toward the support you’ll need most to be successful and does NOT affect your ability to join a program.

  • Have earned a high school diploma or GED
  • Be 18 years or older at the start of the program
  • Available M-F, 9AM-5PM local time for in-class hours
  • If planning to pursue employment then the applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Live within 60 miles of New York City, New York (proof of address required)
  • Laptop OR Chromebook that meets the requirements for TestOut software

USA Technology Program
