New Ideas in the Nation's Capital
The communities surrounding Washington D.C. have always been home to the movers and shakers who shape America's future. Spanning from Maryland to Virginia, the Greater Washington D.C. area boasts thriving hospitality and restaurant industries. But while job opportunities exist, a gap in skills and access has created persistent inequality for too many residents. Since 2017, the Generation team has worked to connect young adults in Greater Washington D.C. with high-quality training programs, including a hospitality program and a unique partnership with Nando's Peri-Peri for restaurant service associates and managers.
