AWS re/Start is a free, fully online 12-week program to jump-start your career in tech as an AWS Cloud support practitioner — no experience needed.
AWS re/Start and Generation have teamed up with OBT to offer this free, fully online program in New York City. You will learn all you need to know in order to be successful in a technology cloud career – from the technical knowledge to the soft skills that will help you achieve your potential. After you graduate, Generation will connect you with employers and help you transition into your new working life.

WHAT IS CLOUD SUPPORT?
Have you ever run out of cloud storage space on your phone? Or visited a website and seen that it’s down? Cloud support technicians help people and companies solve problems including creating new accounts and managing cloud file storage.

About Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow
OBT’s nationally recognized workforce development program provides youth and adults in New York City with an integrated approach to education and job training, with opportunities to advance into jobs in different sectors, or continue their education. Our advanced training programs for high school graduates include health care, technology, and construction career opportunities. What your journey will look like
Step 1Complete an application.
Step 2Work with Generation to complete the orientation for AWS re/Start. Generation and program staff will make sure you're ready to begin class with the resources you need to succeed.
Step 3Come to class! After you begin the AWS re/Start program you will need to complete all assigned homework and come to class each day ready to learn and engage with your cohort and your instructor.
Step 4Prepare for your next adventure. As training progresses, you’ll work with the Generation team on mock interviews and writing your resume so you are supported and prepared for employment.
Step 5Graduate! Celebrate your achievement with your friends and family. Generation staff will work with you as you apply for jobs and interview with Generation employer partners.
Step 6Advance your career. Share your successes with the AWS re/Start and Generation team and stay connected via the alumni network.
How we prepare you

The right resume can open the door to new career opportunities. Generation students learn how to create a resume that showcases their skills and experiences.
By conducting mock interviews, then providing real-time feedback and coaching, the Generation team ensures that all graduates feel confident and prepared to interview.
After graduation, mentors and instructors continue to check in with alums, providing support with the job search and advice for continued success.
